VPM vs RPM vs Hz in Massage Devices
Massage-device specifications can be confusing because manufacturers may describe speed with VPM, RPM or hertz.
VPM
VPM means vibrations per minute. It is commonly used for vibration-focused devices.
RPM
RPM means revolutions per minute. Some manufacturers use RPM as a shorthand speed figure even when the user experiences oscillation or repeated strokes rather than a rotating contact surface.
Hz
Hertz means cycles per second. A quoted 10,000 events per minute is about 166.7 per second, though you should only convert figures when the underlying measured event is actually equivalent.
Don't compare one number in isolation
Amplitude, motion type, attachment design, load behavior and ergonomics can matter as much as the headline speed.
